PCA Chemical Peels & Facials

Professional PCA Skin peels and facials, custom-layered to your skin type for a healthy post-treatment glow without aggressive downtime.

Chemical peels have an unfortunate association with raw, peeling skin and a week indoors. PCA Skin built its reputation on the opposite approach: progressive, not aggressive.

These are scientifically formulated blends that work at a cellular level to exfoliate, treat and protect at the same time. Because each peel is custom-layered to your skin type and condition on the day, the strength is matched to what your skin can actually take.

The result is a healthy post-treatment glow rather than visible shedding, which makes them practical to fit around real life while still delivering measurable change in pigmentation, texture and breakouts.

Who it suits

  • Dark spots and hyperpigmentation
  • Acne and congestion
  • Rosacea and persistent redness
  • Dry or dehydrated skin
  • Dull, uneven tone and rough texture
  • Sensitive skin types that react badly to harsher resurfacing

What happens

  1. Skin analysis

Lauren assesses your skin type, sensitivity and current condition, then selects the peel formulation and strength for that appointment.

  2. Preparation

A thorough double cleanse and prep step, which is what allows the peel to work evenly rather than patchily.

  3. Custom layering

The peel is applied in layers, with your skin's response monitored between each one. Layering is what keeps it controlled.

  4. Finish and protect

Neutralising, calming and protective products are applied, and you leave with clear aftercare and SPF guidance.

Aftercare

  • Mild tightness and a slight glow are normal for a day or two
  • Daily SPF is non-negotiable after any peel
  • Avoid retinoids and acids for five to seven days
  • Do not pick at any light flaking
  • Skip saunas, steam and heavy exercise for 48 hours

PCA Chemical Peels & Facials: your questions answered

What is the difference between a PCA facial and a PCA medical peel?

The facial is a gentler treatment focused on immediate glow, hydration and maintenance. The medical peel uses stronger formulations to target specific concerns such as pigmentation, acne or texture, and is custom-layered with more active ingredients.

Will my skin visibly peel?

Usually not dramatically. PCA peels are designed to work progressively rather than aggressively, so most people experience mild tightness and perhaps light flaking rather than obvious shedding.

How many treatments will I need?

A series is recommended for the best results, typically spaced two to four weeks apart depending on the concern being treated. Lauren will set out a realistic plan at your first appointment.

Are PCA peels safe for sensitive skin?

Yes, and it is one of their strengths. Because each peel is custom-layered and the response monitored during application, the strength is matched to your skin rather than applied as a fixed protocol.

Can peels help with rosacea?

Certain PCA formulations are specifically suited to rosacea and help control redness and reactivity. Assessment matters here, as the wrong peel would make rosacea worse.

Will a peel help with pigmentation?

Yes, pigmentation is one of the concerns peels handle best. Improvement is gradual and requires diligent daily SPF, since sun exposure will undo the result.

Can I wear make-up afterwards?

It is best avoided for the rest of the day to let the skin settle. From the following morning, normal make-up is fine.

How soon can I have a peel before an event?

Allow at least a week for a medical peel. A PCA facial is much more forgiving and is often booked two or three days before an event specifically for the glow.

Do peels help with acne?

Yes. They help control active breakouts by clearing congestion and regulating oil, and improve the marking left behind. For established scarring, microneedling is usually the stronger option.

Is there anything I should avoid beforehand?

Stop retinoids and exfoliating acids five to seven days before, avoid sun exposure and fake tan, and do not book within two weeks of any waxing on the treatment area.

Can peels be combined with other treatments?

Yes, though not on the same day as microneedling or injectables. Lauren will sequence them so the skin has time to recover between treatments.

How long do the results last?

The glow from a single treatment lasts a few weeks. Structural improvements in pigmentation and texture from a series are longer lasting, and are maintained through daily skincare and SPF.

Considering pca chemical peels & facials?

Book a consultation to talk it through. If it is not the right treatment for you, Lauren will tell you that.
