How do I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment through our online booking system at https://portal.aestheticnursesoftware.com/book-online/30768. Simply select your preferred treatment or consultation slot, and Lauren will confirm your booking.
Do I need a consultation before treatment?
Yes, a detailed consultation is included with every treatment. This allows Lauren to assess your facial anatomy, skin health, and goals to create a bespoke treatment plan. For treatments involving prescription-only medicines, a face-to-face medical assessment is required.
Polynucleotides
What exactly do Polynucleotides do?
Polynucleotides are injectable skin boosters made from highly purified DNA fragments that help repair, hydrate, and improve skin quality from within. They work at a cellular level by up-regulating fibroblast cells, triggering natural collagen and elastin production while actively neutralising free radicals.
How many Polynucleotide treatments will I need?
Usually 3-4 sessions are recommended, spaced about 2-4 weeks apart, for optimal results. This allows time for the regenerative process to build progressively.
Are Polynucleotides the same as filler?
No, Polynucleotides are not fillers. They don't add volume or change your face shape. Instead, they work by stimulating your skin's own repair mechanisms to improve skin quality, hydration, and regeneration from within.
Are Polynucleotides safe and suitable for all skin types?
Polynucleotides are biocompatible and generally well tolerated, making them suitable for most skin types following a thorough consultation. Lauren will assess your suitability during your initial appointment.
Is there downtime with Polynucleotides and how long do results last?
Downtime is minimal. You may experience small bumps, redness, or mild swelling for 24-48 hours. Results typically last 6-9 months, with maintenance treatments recommended to sustain the improvements.
Profhilo
What exactly does Profhilo do?
Profhilo is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment that acts as an internal moisturiser, stimulating your skin to produce its own collagen and elastin. This improves firmness, texture, and overall hydration without changing your facial structure.
How many Profhilo treatments will I need?
2 treatments to start, spaced 4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 6 months to maintain results.
Is Profhilo a filler?
No, Profhilo is not a traditional filler. While it contains high-concentration hyaluronic acid, it spreads beneath the skin to stimulate your own collagen and elastin production, improving firmness and texture without physically altering your face shape or adding volume.
Is there downtime with Profhilo and how long do results last?
Small bumps at the injection sites can last 12-24 hours. Results usually last 6-9 months, making it an excellent treatment for long-term skin quality maintenance.
Is Profhilo safe for all skin types?
Profhilo is one of the most biocompatible treatments available because it is a highly purified form of hyaluronic acid with no chemical cross-linking agents, making it extremely safe for most skin types.
Microneedling
What exactly does Microneedling do?
Microneedling creates tiny controlled micro-injuries in the skin using the FDA-cleared 1NEEDPRO device. This triggers your body's natural healing response, stimulating collagen production, improving texture, boosting hydration, and enhancing overall skin quality.
How many Microneedling treatments will I need?
Most patients benefit from a course of 3-6 treatments, spaced about 4 weeks apart, depending on their skin concerns and goals. Lauren will recommend a personalised treatment plan during your consultation.
Is there downtime with Microneedling and how long do results last?
Downtime is minimal, expect redness for 24-48 hours similar to mild sunburn. Results build gradually over several weeks as collagen remodels, and can last several months with maintenance treatments recommended every 4-6 months.
Is Microneedling safe for all skin types?
Yes, microneedling is generally safe for all skin types when performed with professional equipment. At NUA, we use the FDA-approved 1NEEDPRO device with surgical-grade needles and a patented anti-contamination system.
Can Microneedling be combined with other treatments?
Yes! Microneedling combines excellently with polynucleotides, skin boosters, chemical peels, and medical-grade skincare to enhance results. Lauren can recommend the best combination for your skin goals.
Lines & Wrinkles Treatment
What areas can be treated with wrinkle reduction injections?
The most common treatment areas include forehead lines, crow's feet (lines around the eyes), and frown lines (the 'eleven' lines between the brows). Lauren will assess your facial anatomy during consultation to recommend the most suitable approach.
How long do wrinkle reduction results last?
Results typically last 3-4 months, though this can vary between individuals. With regular maintenance treatments, some patients find their results last longer over time as the muscles are trained to relax.
Will wrinkle reduction treatment make me look frozen or unnatural?
When administered by a skilled practitioner like Lauren, wrinkle reduction treatments should look completely natural. The focus at NUA is always on subtle enhancement, softening lines while maintaining natural facial expression and movement.
